Senior ESG Consultant at DLA Piper UK LLP, Claudia Barbarano is at the forefront of designing and implementing strategies to build an enabling impact finance ecosystem. Her primary responsibility is to support underrepresented groups by mobilizing expertise and resources across both the public and private sectors. With a solid background in law and economics, complemented by an International MBA from Bologna Business School, Claudia’s approach combines a deep commitment to socio-economic development with an innovative focus on creating equitable opportunities in impact finance.

After establishing from scratch the Italian DLA Piper offices' pro bono practice, she leveraged private sector expertise for the public good by building public interest partnerships between businesses, civil society, public institutions, and academia. She managed the international strategic partnership portfolio of community clients, including UN agencies, IGOs, and NGOs, until 2021. Notably, she cultivated and delivered complex international development partnerships with agencies such as UNICEF and UNHCR,  co-creating and implementing innovative projects with a focus on human mobility,  and gender-based violence.

Beyond her professional prowess, Claudia is passionate about LGBTQI+ rights and has co-led two NGOs focused on this area in Italy over the past ten years.
